Gynaecologist appointment? Your cycle comes along.
First day of your last period? Your longest cycle in the past year? Since when the pain? In the consulting room, you suddenly only know it roughly.
With Takt you note in everyday life what your cycle is doing, and you take it with you to your gynaecologist or to any other consultation: your topics in “Doctor”, your history in the “Cycle report”. It all gets created on your phone.
At a glance
- The “Cycle report” is a PDF in A4: cycle lengths, bleeding, symptoms, temperature curve.
- For cycle length, variation, bleeding duration and intermenstrual bleeding, the FIGO reference range appears beneath the value. Your doctor does the interpretation.
- When something occurs to you in everyday life, you note it in the day's entry as a “Topic for your doctor”. By the appointment, all topics are collected in “Doctor”, ready to tick off during the consultation.
- Takt works without an account and without a server. The report is created on your phone, and only you can pass it on.
What is in the “Cycle report”?
In A4 format, your cycle appears the way you recorded it:
- your cycle length as a range, with the middle value, and how much it varies
- bleeding duration, bleeding intensity, intermenstrual bleeding and menstrual pain
- your latest cycles in order, as strips with their phases
- on which cycle day which symptoms recur
- if you measure: the temperature curve of your current cycle
For cycle length, variation, bleeding duration and intermenstrual bleeding, the reference range of FIGO, the international federation of gynaecology and obstetrics, appears beneath the value. Takt presents, your doctor interprets.
How do I prepare my questions for the appointment?
The best question often only comes on the way home. So you note it in Takt exactly when it occurs: right in the day's entry, as a “Topic for your doctor”. In “Doctor”, all topics are collected, each with the day you noted it. During the doctor's appointment, beneath each topic it shows when it was, with cycle day and phase, as far as Takt knows them. One tap takes you back to your entry from back then. During the appointment you tick off what has been discussed, and what stays open moves to your next appointment at the same practice.
My cycle is irregular. Does the report still help me?
Especially then. The report shows your cycle length as a range and how much it varies, across all the cycles you have recorded. So 26, 41 and 33 days sit side by side for your doctor.
I'm in menopause. Does this work for me too?
Yes. In menopause, or from 45, the report gets a part of its own: how many days have passed since your last bleeding, the gaps in between, and your symptoms over the past year.
Can I take the report in another language?
Yes. You choose the language of the “Cycle report” separately from the language of the app. Handy if you live abroad or your doctor speaks another language.
Do I need a thermometer?
No, not necessarily. Measuring is optional. Without temperature the report shows everything else; with temperature the curve is added.
Where does my data end up?
On your phone. Takt works without an account and without a server. The report is created on the device, and you decide who sees it: printed out, by email or on the screen in the consulting room.
What does it cost?
Your first month is a gift. Takt can remind you before billing starts: €4.99 a month or €39.99 a year. If you cancel before then, you pay nothing. You keep the “Cycle report” on what you have recorded even without a subscription. In the store you see the price for your country.
You walk in with everything you wanted to say.
Takt is not a medical device and makes no diagnosis. The “Cycle report” is material for your conversation with your doctor.
